A companion app behind a flagship liver health medication

Liver Doctor is a mobile health application that helps users learn how to take care of their liver. Built for Sanofi, a multinational pharmaceutical leader, it combines symptom-based self-assessment, medical and lifestyle guidance, and Essentiale® Forte N product information.
CHALLENGE
Hepatological conditions often go unmanaged until symptoms become serious, and many patients lack easy access to reliable guidance on diet, lifestyle, and treatment. Sanofi wanted to close that gap with a trustworthy source of information on liver health, while reinforcing Essentiale® Forte N’s position as the category leader across Central and Eastern Europe.
SOLUTION
We built a Liver Doctor mobile app to let users check their symptoms, get a personalized therapy recommendation, and find tips for keeping their liver healthy. A quick symptomatic test assesses the user’s condition and suggests the most appropriate course of actions, while all recommendations are reviewed by medical professionals.
A dedicated Essentiale® Forte N section explains the product’s benefits, ingredients, and dosage instructions. Scheduling tools with reminders help users take their medication on time and stay consistent with their treatment program.
The app also includes a pharmacy search feature, so users can locate nearby stores and check availability of Essentiale® Forte N via integrated maps.
RESULTS
The project stands out as an example of how a pharmaceutical brand can support patients beyond just medication. For Sanofi, this also means building a deeper, more credible connection with customers.
