Tallinn, Estonia, May 12, 2026 – Sad Cat Studios, a game development company and a part of Bamboo Group’s investment portfolio, has released a long-awaited game project, Replaced. It is available on PC and Xbox.
The release marks a major milestone for the Cyprus-based studio, which first introduced the game during the Xbox Showcase at E3 2021. Despite several delays, the game successfully launched in April. Prior to the release, it crossed the one-million-wishlist mark.
Since then, Replaced has amassed a number of rave reviews from both the media and the gaming community. As an example, Forbes describes it as “a breathtakingly beautiful and narratively riveting game that has engrossing world-building while also delivering solid combat”. IGN joins the praise, mentioning that “Replaced is a gripping and gorgeous 2.5D action platformer”.
Moreover, gamers have left over 5,000 reviews for Replaced on Steam, highlighting its visuals, story, and soundtrack.
