Tallinn, Estonia, May 11, 2026 – Bamboo Group and Sandcore will share a collaborative exhibition stand (E:14) at Stockholm Smart City 2026. The event will take place from May 20 to May 21 at Kistamässan in Stockholm, Sweden. This will mark the first public announcement of their partnership.
The two companies have joined forces to deliver end-to-end smart infrastructure solutions. Sandcore handles the hardware engineering, while Bamboo Group contributes its IoT platform and application development expertise. Instead of acting as separate vendors, the collaboration is structured as an integrated offer, from edge devices installed in the field to the operator-facing software that interprets the data those devices produce.
Visitors to the stand will experience this partnership through a live demonstration of SMARTHATCH, an IoT monitoring system designed for manholes and underground cable wells. The demo illustrates the complete solution chain. A physical sensor detects unauthorized access or movement and transmits real-time alerts to a monitoring platform that operates via a screen. Through that scenario, the demo highlights long-standing issues in urban infrastructure management, namely, theft, tampering, and safety incidents affecting underground assets that remain difficult to monitor across large networks.
Beyond SMARTHATCH, the stand also features the broader portfolio from the Sandcore × Bamboo Group collaboration. Visitors can explore smart city solutions such as street light management, circuit-level energy consumption monitoring, and the digital access control system Smart Locks Pro.
Bamboo Group invites Stockholm Smart City 2026 attendees to learn more about the company’s IoT capabilities, including the following:
- IoT project consulting. Bamboo Group’s experts assess the client’s infrastructure, define requirements, and conceptualize a solution architecture around the requirements of the project.
- Hardware design and product. IoT devices are developed full-cycle – from circuit design and PCB layout to component sourcing, assembly, and factory testing.
- Software development. Cloud-based monitoring platforms and mobile apps give remote operators and field teams real-time visibility and control, so they can act on data as soon as changes appear in the field.
- Commissioning and onboarding. Bamboo Group verifies the correct system configuration and provides staff training, so the client’s team can work confidently with the platform and apps.
