We are expanding our technical management team and looking for a skilled Service-oriented Engineering Manager who thrives in dynamic environments, can coordinate several projects simultaneously, and ensures high-quality delivery for our international clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple small to medium service-oriented projects in IoT, mobile, and web domains
- Plan project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure deadlines are met
- Track progress, mitigate risks, and resolve blockers proactively, ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration with distributed development teams (Product, Design, QA, etc)
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and maintaining high client satisfaction
- Contribute to technical strategy, architectural decisions, and long-term planning.
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and scalability of systems.
- Promote and continuously improve engineering best practices and processes: DevOps culture, CI/CD, code review, automated testing, monitoring, observability.
- Balance speed of delivery with technical integrity and long-term maintainability.
- Break down complex initiatives into actionable engineering tasks, assess risks, and manage dependencies.
- Take part in hiring: interviewing, onboarding, and team growth planning.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new team members and efficient knowledge transfer
- Participate in technical presale activities, evaluate and estimate new opportunities, prepare architectural proposals
Requirements:
You must have:
- 3+ years in an Engineering Manager or Team Lead role in IT projects (service-oriented experience preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Proven experience managing IoT, mobile, or web projects
- Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication skills
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Notion, or similar)
- English language — Upper-Intermediate or higher
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Understanding of IoT tech stack and protocols (MQTT, NB-IoT etc)
- Familiarity with product development lifecycle, procurement processes, or vendor management
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to structure engineering processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities
