School OS highlights from MWC'18
For yet another year, School OS – most scalable & most customizable school solution on the global market – participated in Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, which this year comprised of inspirational educators, technology leaders and innovative technology companies changing education in their classrooms across the world. As we wrap up another exciting MWC’18, it’s time to deliberate about our most remarkable achievements and results.

Traditionally, Estonia’s Pavilion presents School OS among other top-notch companies and products from this digitally-acknowledged country. This year, except ample networking opportunities, we were honored to meet Urve Palo – Minister of Communication of Estonia and Siim Sikkut, Estonian Government CIO, who visited our stand to learn the achievements and experience of School OS team in launching the school solution across the globe and our perspectives for the upcoming year.

Furthermore, Andrus Ansip – European Commissioner for Digital Single Market – extended a warm welcome to School OS stand, where we had an opportunity to discuss our recent partnership with SMART Africa Alliance, aimed to boost a digitalization in Africa through education, Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). During the conversation, School OS and Mr. Andrus Ansip have come up with an idea to consolidate the efforts of the European Commission and School OS during Transform Africa Summit 2018 – the most important event accelerating Africa’s digital market, that will take place from 7 to 10 May, in Kigali - Rwanda.

School OS prides itself on attending a “Smart Africa Seminar”, co-hosted by Ericsson and the Smart Africa Secretariat, which has already become a tradition. We were pleased to discuss the importance of being members of SMART Africa and the opportunities it creates for digital education with Winnie Wambugu – Head of Communications Smart Africa Secretariat and Jean-Philbert Nsengimana – Deputy Director of Smart Africa Organisation (ex-Minister of ICT of Rwanda).

MWC’18 was full of inspirational events, meetings and impressions, on the outcome of the event School OS will soon be featured in Nationally Broadcast “Best of MWC” Wrap Up show at NewsWatch, which once again proves the fact that our product can make dramatic changes in modernisation of education in numerous countries.
