Belarusian Telecom operators A1, MTS, life:) have launched Mobile Connect service for simple user authentication on the Internet. The technology allows to log in to the websites with the help of your mobile number. Znaj.by has become the first platform which implemented Mobile Connect service in Belarus.

Mobile Connect offers a simple, trusted way for mobile users to share sensitive data, and undertake transactions with confidence. By matching the end user to their mobile phone number, Mobile Connect empowers the user to confirm his/her identity online, and authorise transactions such as payments, sharing only the personal data that’s essential for completing the transaction.
Znaj.by is a daughter company of Bamboo Group. All-in-one platform of e-services for education Znaj.by allows users to log in to the personal account entering their phone number. Meanwhile, you can log in to the site from any device – smartphone, tablet or with the help of your laptop. This feature is available for users who have linked mobile phone number to their account on the platform.
The GSM Association (GSMA) initiated this project to develop a unified standard for authentication and identification based on a subscriber number in 2014. Today, Mobile Connect is an international project that has attracted dozens of Telecom operators all over the world. This is a new service for the Belarusian market, the implementation of which takes place under the auspices of the GSMA. At present, the technology is used by 75 mobile operators in 45 countries. And now Belarus is also in the list.
